Social media strategy – American Society of Nephrology
Designed and implemented social media strategy to increase ASN’s visibility among journalists, medical students and current members. Developed the ASN interactive site from the ground up using WordPress; developed systems for monitoring and sharing nephrology news daily on social media; trained staff on social media. Wrote blog posts, background materials, editorials, SlideShare presentations, press releases and more. Managed all social media channels during major medical conference, including blog posts, Facebook, Twitter, daily Storify wrap-ups and media relations. See samples.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
Wrote patient-friendly web copy on many aspects of cancer for the Center’s website.  Also developed three comprehensive CD-ROM patient education programs, on breast cancer, leukemia and nausea, guiding readers through diagnosis, treatment and emotional issues. Organized the interactive structure of each and wrote all copy.

The KID Foundation
Managed overhaul of large web site on children’s health issue. Reorganized the navigation scheme of complex site, rewrote all content, supervised graphic designers and programmers.

Dianon Systems/LabCorp
Wrote and edited patient education web documents, covering breast cancer, colon cancer, leukemia and other diseases.

Blue Cross of California / WellPoint Pharmacy Management
Edited two extensive educational websites, on asthma and diabetes, to make them more consumer-friendly. Rewrote much of the copy and reorganized the interactive structure.

Wrote websites keyed to several wildlife films, including “Echo of the Elephants,” and “Forces of the Wild,” giving viewers a look behind the scenes at filmmakers, researchers and locations.
